The Rest?
Disappear into the desert

The desert doesn't kill everyone. It only chooses a few.

The Story

The desert keeps what it takes.

It begins with a silence where a voice used to be.

It is 2026, and a young woman has vanished somewhere on the Pacific Crest Trail.

The search runs cold in the Mojave, past the last ranger station, past the last good map.

Out there, a loner the locals call "M" stops pretending that anything matters.

One by one, hikers and the people of Hikertown begin to disappear.
